Bowen Road Day School is, hands down, THE best preschool in town. It is one of the best kept secret gems in Arlington. Many Bowen Road parents were once Bowen Road students and intentionally located so that their kids could grow and blossom in the care of Ms. Tracie, Ms. Bella, Mr. Michael, and the rest of the amazing staff. The family-feel of the staff comes from a careful and particular hiring process; no warm bodies or teachers whose hearts aren’t in it. As a long-time kindergarten teacher, I have very high expectations for a pre-school program. Bowen Road far surpassed all of my expectations. Imagine every child being greeted by the director every morning. Imagine home-cooked, yummy lunches and snacks made on-site. The reality is beyond what you could imagine. Bowen Road has such a homey, welcoming atmosphere that you feel like you are a part of family. Your child’s day is filled with fun, age-appropriate, hands-on learning experiences that are quite memorable. My kindergartner receives many compliments on the strong foundation and awesome experiences he brought with him to kindergarten. Credit goes to Bowen Road. Communication between families and staff are unmatched, and no other pre-school has a director that greets every student every morning and tells them that she loves them (and you can see she means it) as they leave. I only wish my kindergarten class could be filled with Bowen Road graduates. Although I no longer need after-school care, Brian would still attend if Ms. Tracie picked up at the school where I teach. He even offered to buy her another bus so that she could come to my school. Check them out. You will not be disappointed!

I absolutely love this place. The teachers and staff are amazing. The owner, Tracie Smith, is so great. I have my 5 year old girl and my 23 month old boy attending, and I also went here as a kid. We love it here.

Bowen Road Day School is the best place for your kids hands down. I’ve sent two of my boys there for Pre-k. The teachers are amazing and really care about the kids. My son was so scared to go to school and Bowen road made it easy for us. They are loving and trust worthy. My son loves school now and I truly believe this is because of the love and care he’s received here.

We love BRDS! Our daughter started there 3 years ago and loves going to school every day. The teachers are absolutely kind, patient, and caring. Tracey is like a second mom to all of these kids. The school is ran efficiently and is clean and positive!

We absolutely love BRDS! The teachers are phenomenal. Ms. Tracie and all of the staff members make it feel like home. You know it’s a great place to be when your kids are excited to run into the door and forget to say bye! The learning experiences the pre-k program offers is what every parent wants for their kids: hands-on, engaging, and challenging. Bowen Road Day school is an exceptional place to send your children. My kids are truly loved and cared for and we have had nothing but an amazing experience with BRDS! I can’t even begin to express how thankful I am for Bowen Road Day School. There is no place like it. They love my children just as I do. Never once have I had a second of worry when I drop them off. When I was a kid, I grew up here at BRDS and didn’t stop till I was about 13 yrs old. I only went during the summer time but that was the best time to go. Everyday was an adventure with a fun and exciting field trip to the movies or bowling and pools! And now I work here and I love every moment of it. I absolutely LOVE Bowen Road Day School. My husband and sister-in-law both attended BRDS as children. They both had so many positive things to say about this school, that is why it was so easy to choose where I wanted to put my daughter. Bowen Road isn’t just a school, but a true family. Both of my daughters get up every morning excited about going to school. The staff is amazing. They are loving and my girls love every teacher at this school. My journey at Bowen Road began in 05 when I worked there… I absolutely loved the environment, the teachers, and the kids. I truly loved my job. The teachers treat the kids as if they were their own.
