FAQ’s

Do you take infants?

Not at this time. Our programs begin at 18 months old, when children are ready for more hands on activities, social interaction, and early learning routines.

Is this a preschool or a daycare?

Both. Bowen Road Day School is a licensed child care center that offers a full preschool program along with quality daycare for children from toddlers through school age. Families get the best of both, a warm and reliable place for daily care plus a structured learning program that supports kindergarten readiness.

Do you offer after-school pickup?

Yes. We offer before-school drop off and after-school pick up from Duff Elementary and Hill Elementary.

What are your hours and ages served?

We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM. We serve children ages 18 months through 12 years, including toddlers, preschoolers, and students who need before and after school care.

Are meals included?

Yes. We provide a morning snack, a hot lunch, and an afternoon snack each day. Meals are included in tuition, and we do our best to offer kid friendly options that keep everyone fueled and happy.

How many days should a 4 year old go to preschool?

Most 4 year olds do best with a 5 day a week preschool schedule. It helps them get into a steady routine and makes the jump to kindergarten feel a lot easier. That said, every child is different. Their temperament, developmental stage, and your family’s daily rhythm all play a part. The goal is a healthy balance of structured learning at school and plenty of free play and downtime at home.

How long is a typical day at preschool?

Our structured learning runs from 9:00am to 12:30pm. After that, children enjoy a restful nap time from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. The rest of the afternoon includes free play, crafting, and other fun activities until pickup.
